In a meeting chaired by His Excellency Sheikh Saud bin Abdullah Al-Mujib, the attorney general of Riyadh met with the Secretary-General of the International Association of Prosecutors, Roel Dona, and his entourage.
The objective of the meeting was to enhance collaboration, share experience in fighting transnational crimes, and exchange knowledge and information in relevant areas.
The Public Prosecution combats violent extremist propaganda and calls for violence via electronic and online media, emphasizing respect for international treaties and accords as well as human rights.
June 4, 2024, in Riyadh. The Secretary General of the International Association of Prosecutors (IAP), Roel Dona, and his colleagues were received by Attorney General Sheikh Saud bin Abdullah Al-Mujib today.
During the reception, Sheikh Al-Mujib underscored the fact that what is required is the promotion of cooperation, experience-sharing in fighting cross-border crimes, and knowledge and information-sharing in areas of interest. Apart from upholding human rights and meeting international obligations, he stated that the Public Prosecution is doing everything in its power to combat extremist propaganda and incitement to violence through the internet and electronic media. Further, he mentioned the necessary support given to the legislative, executive, and judiciary by the wise leadership in addition to the continuous efforts towards the governance of transparent and fair processes.
