Riyadh, April 5, 2025 – The General Directorate of Border Guards has urged beachgoers across the Kingdom to follow maritime safety guidelines, advising against swimming in unapproved areas, ensuring children are supervised at the beach, and taking necessary precautions for safety.


The directorate emphasized its commitment to improving safety by deploying extra maritime patrols and search and rescue teams. It also highlighted the importance of ensuring marine vessels and safety equipment are in proper condition and obtaining necessary permits before sailing.


The General Directorate of Border Guards reminded the public to adhere to maritime regulations and instructions and to contact emergency services by calling 911 in the Makkah and Eastern regions, and 994 in the rest of the Kingdom.
