The Chief Guardian of the Holy Grand Mosque receives Holy Kaaba Kiswa from the Governor of Makkah.


- Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz presented the Kiswa of the Kaaba to the primary custodian of the Grand Mosque on behalf of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.


- The replacement of the Kaaba's Kiswa is scheduled for the first day of Muharram 1446 AH.


- The Kiswa is made of unique black-dyed natural silk and is fourteen meters tall, with a belt that is forty-seven meters long and ninety-five centimeters broad.



Today Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, heir-apparent in song to the central hajj committee presented the kiswa of the precious kaaba to the Grand Mosque’s chief keeper ASSERT, June 18, 2024. On his behalf, the custodian of the two holy mosques made this presentation at Makkah King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. In locus pre-kaaba Kiswa changing for 1436 Hijrah first day of Muharum preparation, Hajj and Umrah Minister, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Care and Management of the Two Holy Mosques, and the chief guardian of the Holy Grand Mosque signed the handover and receipt minutes. The King Abdulaziz Complex prepares the Kiswa, a unique black-dyed natural silk. The Holy Kaaba is the sole recipient of this special treatment. Kiswa is fourteen meters tall, and in the upper third of the structure is a belt that is forty-seven meters long and ninety-five centimeters broad. An Islamic decorative square surrounds the sixteen-piece belt.
