New Delhi, February 2, 2025 – The Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission of Saudi Arabia is making its mark at the 2025 New Delhi World Book Fair (NDWBF), which is currently being held at the Pragati Maidan Exhibition Grounds in Delhi, India, from February 1 to 9. This participation is a part of Saudi Arabia's ongoing efforts to strengthen cultural ties and cooperation with India, an initiative that continues to grow in significance on both sides.

The commission’s presence at the fair underscores its dedication to promoting the Kingdom's rich cultural and literary heritage on the global stage. By participating in this major international event, the commission aims to raise awareness about Saudi Arabia's contributions to the literary world, particularly in the areas of publishing and translation. Additionally, the Kingdom is using this platform to showcase its growing influence in the global cultural landscape and to foster deeper intellectual and cultural exchanges between Saudi Arabia and India.

The Saudi pavilion at the NDWBF features a variety of sections dedicated to the Kingdom’s cultural and literary initiatives. One of the key highlights is the "Tarjem" initiative, which aims to showcase the Saudi translation movement, highlighting the Kingdom’s commitment to bridging cultures through the written word. This initiative is part of a broader effort to make Saudi literature more accessible to the world and to introduce global readers to the rich history and diverse voices of Saudi writers. The pavilion also includes sections dedicated to important cultural institutions such as the King Salman Global Academy for the Arabic Language and the King Fahd National Library, both of which play pivotal roles in preserving and promoting the Arabic language and Saudi culture.

Saudi Arabia's participation in the 2025 NDWBF follows its role as the Guest of Honor at the 2024 New Delhi World Book Fair, where the Kingdom hosted a variety of cultural programs, exhibitions, and events to showcase the depth and diversity of Saudi culture and creativity. This ongoing partnership with India reflects Saudi Arabia’s commitment to international cultural diplomacy and to the development of stronger ties with nations across the globe.

As the 2025 fair continues, the Saudi pavilion remains a focal point for visitors seeking to learn more about the Kingdom's rich literary traditions, its modern contributions to global literature, and its active engagement in promoting cultural exchange and understanding. The fair not only serves as a platform for Saudi Arabia to share its literary achievements but also to engage in meaningful dialogues that will help shape the future of global literary and cultural cooperation.
