
Tunis, Tunisia – February 17, 2025 – During the conclusion of its 42nd session held in Tunis, the Arab Interior Ministers Council extended its sincere gratitude to the government of Saudi Arabia for its unwavering and constructive support for Naif Arab University for Security Sciences. The council commended the significant contributions made by the Kingdom, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, in furthering the university's mission to promote security science and education across the Arab world.
The council highlighted the pivotal role that Saudi Arabia has played in supporting the university’s various initiatives, reinforcing the Kingdom’s commitment to advancing security sciences and fostering collaboration in the field of law enforcement and public safety. The generous support is seen as a key driver in ensuring the university’s continued success and its ability to provide high-quality education and research in security-related disciplines.
Moreover, the council recognized the vital patronage of Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Interior of Saudi Arabia and honorary president of the council, who has been instrumental in overseeing and supporting the university’s activities. His leadership has been crucial in ensuring that Naif Arab University remains at the forefront of security and law enforcement education in the Arab region.
The session also saw the council’s approval of the university’s activities report, covering the period between its 41st and 42nd sessions. This report highlighted the university’s academic and research accomplishments, as well as its role in organizing training programs, conferences, and workshops aimed at enhancing the capabilities of security professionals across the Arab world.
