Islamabad, January 10, 2025 – Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to Pakistan, Nawaf Al-Maliki, inaugurated the “Creative Murals” initiative organized by the media attaché office of the Saudi embassy in Islamabad. The murals, which are displayed on the wall opposite the embassy, feature a vibrant collection of artworks that reflect the cultural richness and diversity of Pakistan while celebrating the strong bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. The event was attended by Shakil Arshad, Director of the Directorate of Municipal Administration (DMA), along with several Pakistani officials.
Ambassador Al-Maliki emphasized the importance of media and creative initiatives in strengthening ties between the two nations. He highlighted the evolving role of modern media and the arts in fostering greater understanding and collaboration, particularly in a time when new technologies and innovative platforms are transforming international communication. The initiative, which includes over 35 images showcasing Pakistan's cultural landmarks and heritage, is part of the embassy's ongoing efforts to enhance cultural exchange.
The “Creative Murals” initiative also included a competition for the best artwork symbolizing Saudi-Pakistani relations. The competition was open to students from the Saudi School in Islamabad, and Pakistani sisters Nouf and Shamma Yousef Johar were selected as the winners for their outstanding contribution to the project.
