On October 21, 2024, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud issued a Royal Order promoting and appointing 50 judges to the Board of Grievances. This strategic move demonstrates the Kingdom's ongoing commitment to strengthening its administrative judiciary, ensuring that the judicial system continues to operate at the highest levels of efficiency and quality.

Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Yousef, President of the Board of Grievances and the Administrative Judicial Council, expressed his deep appreciation for the leadership's support in enhancing the judiciary. He highlighted that the Royal Order reflects the leadership’s dedication to advancing the administrative justice system by appointing highly qualified judges to positions of responsibility. This step, according to Al-Yousef, is instrumental in improving the overall performance of the judiciary, ensuring that judicial processes are handled with greater accuracy, speed, and efficiency.

He emphasized that the appointment of skilled and talented judges would directly contribute to the quality of legal rulings and the overall administration of justice in the country. By ensuring that judicial appointments align with the highest standards, the Kingdom is reaffirming its commitment to delivering fair, timely, and effective justice for all.

This Royal Order is part of broader efforts to modernize and improve the judiciary in Saudi Arabia, in line with the country's Vision 2030 goals, which aim to develop all sectors of governance, including the judicial system. By enhancing the capacity and expertise of the Board of Grievances, the Kingdom is taking concrete steps toward ensuring that its legal system meets the evolving needs of its citizens and residents.
