Kigali, 08 August 2023, In a display of diplomatic goodwill, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, has reached out to His Excellency the President of the Republic of Rwanda, Paul Kagame. The purpose of this communication is to discuss the current state of bilateral relations between the two nations and explore avenues for further collaboration. In a formal gathering held at the presidential residence in Kigali, the message was delivered by His Excellency the Counsellor at the Royal Court, Mr. Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Kattan. The esteemed guest in attendance was none other than His Excellency President Kagame. In a recent meeting, Mr. Kattan extended warm regards from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Chairman of the Council of Ministers, to the Republic of Rwanda. These greetings were conveyed to His Excellency as well as to the Government and people of Rwanda. During the reception, both parties engaged in a comprehensive evaluation of the collaborative ties between the two nations, exploring avenues to fortify them across diverse domains. Additionally, they delved into pertinent regional and international matters that held mutual significance, fostering a deeper understanding and exchange of perspectives. Rwandan President Paul Kagame extended a warm welcome to his nation as they prepare to host not one, but two significant summits this year. The first of these is the highly anticipated Saudi-African summit, followed by the fifth edition of the Arab-African summit. Both events are set to take place in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In a grand gathering, the non-resident Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in the Republic of Uganda, Jamal bin Mohammed Madani, graced the reception with his esteemed presence.
