In a splendid ceremony held at the Grand Mosque, the 44th edition of the King Abdulaziz International Competition for Memorization, Recitation, and Interpretation of the Holy Quran reached its grand conclusion under the esteemed patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The event was honored by the presence of Deputy Governor of Makkah Region, Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, who took part in recognizing the remarkable achievements of this year's winners.
The competition, a hallmark of dedication to the Holy Quran, attracted 174 contestants from 123 countries. With a total prize pool of SAR 4 million, the event not only celebrated the spiritual and scholarly excellence of its participants but also underscored Saudi Arabia's commitment to the preservation and deep appreciation of the Quranic heritage.
The closing ceremony, organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, was attended by a distinguished gathering including several princes, ministers, esteemed scholars, ambassadors from Arab and Islamic nations, as well as key government officials and mosque preachers from the Makkah region.
