The Deputy Governor of Makkah Region presents the 44th King Abdulaziz International Quran Competition winners with awards


Ceremony and Honoring: The 44th King Abdulaziz International Competition for Memorization, Recitation, and Interpretation of the Holy Quran concluded with an awards ceremony in the Grand Mosque, attended by Deputy Governor of Makkah Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz.


Competition Details: The event featured 174 participants from 123 countries and had a prize pool of SAR 4 million, highlighting Saudi Arabia's dedication to the Quran's memorization and recitation.


Minister's Speech: Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh, Minister of Islamic Affairs, praised the competition as a reflection of the Kingdom's commitment to the Holy Quran and its educational values.

In a splendid ceremony held at the Grand Mosque, the 44th edition of the King Abdulaziz International Competition for Memorization, Recitation, and Interpretation of the Holy Quran reached its grand conclusion under the esteemed patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The event was honored by the presence of Deputy Governor of Makkah Region, Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, who took part in recognizing the remarkable achievements of this year's winners.


The competition, a hallmark of dedication to the Holy Quran, attracted 174 contestants from 123 countries. With a total prize pool of SAR 4 million, the event not only celebrated the spiritual and scholarly excellence of its participants but also underscored Saudi Arabia's commitment to the preservation and deep appreciation of the Quranic heritage.


The closing ceremony, organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, was attended by a distinguished gathering including several princes, ministers, esteemed scholars, ambassadors from Arab and Islamic nations, as well as key government officials and mosque preachers from the Makkah region.


In his address, Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh, the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, highlighted the profound significance of the competition. He emphasized that the event stands as a testament to Saudi Arabia's unwavering dedication to nurturing the memorization and recitation of the Holy Quran. His speech reflected the Kingdom's ongoing efforts to honor and uphold the sacred values of the Quranic teachings through such prestigious competitions.
