Diriyah, October 05, 2023, The Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) has introduced the "Diriyah Entrepreneurship Initiative," a comprehensive program aimed at empowering entrepreneurs with the skills and resources necessary to contribute positively to the Saudi Arabian economy.
This initiative is dedicated to preserving Diriyah's cultural heritage while nurturing businesses, startups, and entrepreneurs across various sectors such as hospitality, tourism, retail, culture, and the arts. It builds upon Diriyah's previous collaboration with the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha’at), reinforcing their ongoing partnership.
Jerry Inzerillo, the CEO of DGDA, described the "Diriyah Entrepreneurship Initiative" as a transformative journey that equips individuals and groups with essential skills to overcome challenges, nurture innovative ideas, and drive business growth using cutting-edge technology and robust support systems. The initiative welcomes a wide spectrum of participants, ranging from aspiring high school and university entrepreneurs to seasoned industry professionals and visionary business owners in vibrant sectors like hospitality, tourism, retail, culture, and the arts. Within the initiative's diverse array of programs and events, entrepreneurs will find opportunities to forge valuable connections, gain profound insights, and refine their skills to redefine their path to success.
The initiative's primary goal is to attract and empower both new and experienced entrepreneurs and partners, increasing their understanding of the business environment and challenges entrepreneurs typically face. It also provides them with modern tools and resources to strengthen their business development plans and strategies.
The Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha'at) will collaborate in establishing training programs and workshops for the accelerator. Additionally, Monsha'at will offer capacity-building services, including training, consultations, and content reviews for the programs and workshops. The "Nawafth" application will provide advisory services, and entrepreneurs in the accelerator program will have access to services offered by the Mazaya platform. Monsha'at will further provide various support services for program participants.
The initiative comprises two key tracks: "Diriyah Entrepreneurial Sessions" and the "Diriyah Accelerator Program." The former includes a series of workshops and events led by industry experts aimed at promoting entrepreneurship. These sessions cover topics related to Diriyah's business landscape, providing valuable insights for entrepreneurs in the region and fostering discussions and knowledge-sharing opportunities. The latter track, the "Diriyah Accelerator Program," is tailored for entrepreneurs and business owners operating within or serving Diriyah or those considering relocating their ventures to Diriyah. Participants can tap into the expertise of renowned experts and speakers to further advance their projects.
The Diriyah Accelerator Program encompasses four distinct tracks: Hospitality, Tourism, Retail, Culture, and Arts. Participants are encouraged to bring their existing projects and fully engage in each program day to maximize the benefits of expert lectures, initiatives, and tailor-made programs, propelling their entrepreneurial journey to greater heights.
