Inspection teams conducted over three thousand inspections of transportation in Makkah and Madinah during the eighth day of Dhu al-Hijjah.
Over 590 violations were identified, including driving without permission, employing uncertified drivers, and not adhering to the required dress code or carrying cargo documents.
The government closely watches the transport services during Hajj about their safety and security, improvement of the quality in service offering, and the availability of a hotline number 19929 to inquire about and report any problem flats.
June 16, 2024: Makkah The inspection teams of the General Transport Authority TGA carried out more than three thousand inspection tours of various transport means in Makkah and Madinah on the eighth day of Dhu al-Hijjah.
These inspections were made to provide safety and security to the pilgrims during the performance of Hajj rituals. More than 590 violations happened, such as driving without permission, using non-licensed driver, and not following the dress code and cargo document requirement. The Government closely oversees all the means of transportation available during the whole period of Hajj for the sake of securing them, ensuring their safety, and running them smoothly, not to mention increasing the level of service provided to the pilgrims.
