HAIL, March 28, 2025 – The Saudi Ministry of Environment has ramped up its field monitoring efforts in Hail, focusing on slaughterhouses, as well as meat, vegetable, and fruit markets, to ensure adherence to health regulations and precautionary measures. This initiative aims to ensure food product safety ahead of Eid Al-Fitr.
Fahd bin Muidh Al-Hasani, director general of the ministry's Hail branch, stated that monitoring teams were working around the clock. They followed a detailed plan that included health inspections, awareness programs, and guidance efforts, with intensified visits to public markets and slaughterhouses during peak times leading up to Eid Al-Fitr when consumer demand is high.
He noted that the teams were also involved in cleaning and disinfecting slaughter areas to maintain a healthy and safe environment. Al-Hasani emphasized that strict penalties would be imposed on those violating health and safety regulations.
He urged store owners to comply with the guidelines to avoid penalties, which would be enforced in accordance with legal procedures.
