Damascus, January 02, 2025 – In a display of continued humanitarian support, the first relief flight of the Saudi airlift, coordinated by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), arrived today at Damascus International Airport, delivering crucial supplies to Syria. The relief plane was loaded with food, shelter materials, and medical supplies, along with a dedicated KSrelief team tasked with overseeing the distribution of aid.
Upon arrival, the aircraft was warmly received by Abdullah Al-Harees, Chargé d'Affaires of the Saudi Embassy in Syria, alongside Dr. Mohammed Hazem Bakleh, President of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, and a group of media representatives. Al-Harees, during his address, underscored the importance of this assistance, which he described as an extension of Saudi Arabia’s longstanding humanitarian efforts aimed at alleviating the suffering of the Syrian people amidst the ongoing crisis. He reiterated that KSrelief’s involvement highlights the Kingdom’s consistent commitment to providing aid to those in need, regardless of their circumstances.
