Cairo, February 03, 2025 – Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah participated today in the Arab Six-Party Consultative Meeting, held in Cairo, Egypt. The gathering brought together key Arab leaders and diplomats to discuss pressing issues related to the Palestinian cause, with a particular focus on the ongoing situation in the Gaza Strip and broader efforts to support peace and stability in the region.

The meeting, hosted by the Arab Republic of Egypt, centered on the critical need to enhance support for the Palestinian people and the Palestinian cause. A significant portion of the discussions revolved around the developments in Gaza and the importance of sustaining the ceasefire agreement that has provided much-needed relief in recent months. The participants emphasized the urgency of ensuring that humanitarian aid continues to flow into Gaza, helping alleviate the dire conditions faced by civilians, and facilitating the safe return of displaced people to their homes in the region.

The meeting also aimed to explore mechanisms to further empower the Palestinian Authority, ensuring that it can effectively carry out its responsibilities in the occupied Palestinian territories. Strengthening Palestinian governance and ensuring security and stability for the Palestinian people were key priorities during the discussions.

Another important topic addressed was the ongoing efforts to support the international alliance’s push for a two-state solution, a vision that remains central to resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The participants underscored the significance of this approach, reaffirming their commitment to a peaceful resolution based on mutual recognition and coexistence.

Additionally, the meeting touched upon the upcoming international conference on the Palestinian issue, which will be co-chaired by Saudi Arabia and France in June 2025. This conference is seen as a pivotal step toward advancing the peace process, and the participants expressed their support for this initiative, which aims to bring together global stakeholders in a concerted effort to achieve a lasting and just solution for the Palestinian people.

Representing Saudi Arabia at the meeting alongside Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan were Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, Prince Musab bin Mohammed Al Farhan, Saudi Ambassador to Egypt, Saleh bin Eid Al-Husseini, and Advisor at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Manal Radwan. The presence of these high-ranking officials highlights Saudi Arabia’s continued leadership role in the Arab world and its strong commitment to advancing the Palestinian cause on the international stage.

The Arab Six-Party Consultative Meeting reflects the ongoing efforts of Arab nations to come together to address regional challenges and reinforce their collective stance on key issues affecting the Arab world, with the Palestinian cause remaining at the forefront of these diplomatic efforts.
