Kuwait, December 26, 2024 – Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, arrived in the State of Kuwait today to participate in the 46th Extraordinary Meeting of the Ministerial Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). The meeting, which brings together the foreign ministers of the GCC member states, aims to discuss critical regional and international issues and strengthen cooperation among the Gulf nations.
Upon his arrival at Amiri Airport in the capital, Kuwait City, Prince Faisal was warmly received by several prominent dignitaries, including Jasem Albudaiwi, the Secretary-General of the GCC, and Ambassador Najeeb Al-bader, the Kuwaiti Assistant Foreign Minister for GCC Affairs. Also present to welcome the Saudi foreign minister was Prince Sultan bin Saad bin Khaled, the Saudi Ambassador to Kuwait, who joined the official delegation in a display of diplomatic camaraderie between the two nations.
The participation of Saudi Arabia’s top diplomat underscores the Kingdom’s continued commitment to regional cooperation and its active role in shaping the future of the GCC. The extraordinary meeting is expected to cover key issues concerning the Gulf states’ collective interests, fostering further unity and collaboration in addressing regional challenges.
