Riyadh, December 21, 2024 – Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi reaffirmed the organization's commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at strengthening regional stability and security during a phone call with Anne-Claire Legendre, the French President’s advisor for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). The conversation underscored the GCC’s ongoing dedication to fostering peace and cooperation in the region, aligning with its broader objectives of promoting security and mutual development among member states.


The two officials took the opportunity to review the strong and evolving relationship between the GCC and France, with a focus on their strategic partnership. Albudaiwi and Legendre discussed the upcoming joint action plan, which is expected to be formally adopted by both sides in the near future.
