In Jeddah, on August 8, 2024, the Gambian Minister of Foreign Affairs met with the Saudi Vice Minister.
The meeting was held during the OIC member states' Executive Committee foreign ministers' conference.
The two ministers talked about problems of common concern on the international and regional levels, as well as strengthening bilateral ties and collaborating more.

Wednesday's meeting between Dr. Mamadou Tangara, the Gambian Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Gambians Abroad, and Saudi Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Eng. Waleed bin Abdulkarim El-Khereiji took place. Jeddah was the location of the meeting.On the fringes of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states' exceptional open-ended conference of foreign ministers, the meeting took place.In the course of the discussion, they assessed the two nations' bilateral ties, spoke about extending their cooperation globally, and examined regional and global challenges that both countries found important.
