In accordance with the criteria established by the leadership, the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques assigned appropriate entry and exit gates in order to facilitate the performance of rites by pilgrims. All of the designated entry points are located in the following locations: gates 65 to 92 in the King Fahd Expansion (with the exception of gates 67 to 79), gates 100, 104, 114, 119, 121, and 123 in the Third Saudi Expansion, the Ajyad stairs and bridge from the southern courtyard, the Marwa bridge, Raqobah bridge, and 23 Marwa stairs from the eastern courtyard. The president chose the King Fahd Gate and the Shabikah Bridge as exit points in the King Fahd Expansion. The president also selected the King Abdulaziz Gate, the Ajyad Gate, the Ajyad Bridge, five Ismail gates, four Bilal gates, and seven Safa gates from the southern courtyard. The eastern courtyard features fourteen gates that lead to the Prophet's Mosque, sixteen steps that lead to the southern Arqam, sixteen escalators that lead to the Arqam bridge, seventeen Ali Gates, two Salam Gates, twenty-five Marwa gates, the Marwa bridge, and the Marwa Vehicle Bridge. In addition, the presidency recognized gates 7, 16, 19, 32, 33, 66, 68, 69, 79, 89, 90, 114, and 123 as accessible to individuals with impairments.
