The General Directorate of Public Security has announced that recruiters who fail to report the departure of their hired employees after their entry visa has expired will be fined.


- Failure to report the departure of recruited individuals after their entry visa expires will result in a fine, imprisonment, and deportation for expatriates.


- The General Directorate of Public Security has provided hotline numbers for reporting violations of residency, work, or border security restrictions.


- Visit visa holders are prohibited from entering or staying in Makkah between May 23 and June 21 and are not allowed to perform the Hajj pilgrimage.



Riyadh, May 28, 2024. The General Directorate of Public Security recently announced that any recruiter failing to report the departure of those they recruited as soon as the entry visa expires will face a fine of approximately SAR 50,000, imprisonment for up to six months, and deportation of the employee if they are an expatriate. The general directorate asked anyone who violated residency, work, or border security restrictions to call (911) in Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Region, or (999) in the remaining parts of the Kingdom. The General Directorate issued a request. The General Directorate of Public Security has directives disallowing anybody holding any form of visit visa from entering or residing in Makkah from May 23rd through June 21st. A visit visa holder cannot perform Hajj according to the General Directorate of Public Security regardless of the visa type or name of the same.
