The Hajj Season 1445 AH Plan for the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites has been announced.

The Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites (RCMC) has announced it is going to enhance service delivery and improve pilgrimage experience during Hajj season.

The plans include setting up transport infrastructures, initiating animal slaughter operation and constructing infrastructures in holy places.

The RCMC has also established new roads and pathways, including a frequency transportation route and distinct pathways for electric scooters, to facilitate pilgrim transit between holy sites.

The 5th of June, 2024, Makkah The Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites (RCMC) has revealed its plans during the Hajj season, including the completion of projects that would enhance pilgrims' experiences and the quality of services offered. The RCMC has stated that its plan includes a number of supportive projects, beginning with the development of infrastructure at holy sites, improving transportation system services, and the sacrificial animal project. Furthermore, the plan includes an awareness campaign for Hajj pilgrims that promotes proper practices during Hajj ritual performances. Before the Hajj season began, the RCMC announced that it had established several axes, intersections, and lanes for a number of ring roads in Makkah. The project for the northern part of the Third Ring Road, which is 7.5 kilometers long and connects the Madinah Road to the Jamarat facility, brought about the most significant reduction in travel time for pilgrims.

There are a number of regular entries and exits that connect surrounding localities, as well as eight bridges and ramps that total 2.2 kilometers in length. The newly constructed road has three main lanes with a speed restriction of up to 100 kilometers per hour, two service lanes in each direction, and a number of regular entries and exits. Illumination, signboards, and traffic-directing signs equip the route. The RCMC stated, "We have worked on a frequency transportation route for the guests of God from their homes to the Grand Mosque, with a capacity estimate."RCMC has allocated three distinct pathways for electric scooters, which is a unique pioneering experience aimed at improving pilgrim transit between holy sites.

These pathways consisted of the Muzdalifah-MMina path, as well as the western and eastern pedestrian road paths for the Jamarat facility. Each pathway has an estimated length of 1.2 kilometers, and its width is 25 meters.Explanation was made by the RCMC in relation to the Project for Utilization of Hady and Adahi (the Adahi Project, animal sacrifice conducted by pilgrims), which is considered one of the pioneering national initiatives and is located on a total area that is expected to reach one million square meters. Among its components is the world's largest industrial freezer project, whose storage capacity is able to accommodate more than one million heads of animals. What is particularly exciting is that the project utilizes artificial intelligence technology for the first time in the process of counting sacrifices.

The RCMC also discussed that it has focused on the rehabilitation of the spatial Miqats for Ihram to enhance the quality of the experience of pilgrims. Moreover, the RCMC publicized awareness messages via various platforms such as social media and multimedia networks in addition to the guidebook that it has published and distributed to the media, with the objective of stimulating the best practices during the Hajj and underlining ways to optimize the benefits of this unique pilgrimage.
