Jeddah, June 7, 2024: The Water Transmission and Technologies Company has completed all of the preparations for this year's Hajj season. During the peak days of Hajj, they will be able to provide the Makkah region, Madinah, and the holy sites with a total daily water supply of one million cubic meters. Once the Mughmas reservoirs reach full activity and surpass their intended storage capacity of one million cubic meters, they can potentially increase this capacity to 1.3 million cubic meters if necessary. Madinah expects to receive a daily supply of up to 1.4 million cubic meters in total value. We have enhanced the pumping station efficiency to approximately 125% of their design capacity, and increased the operational storage capacity to 98% of the design capacity. Both of these enhancements take place at the same time. Moreover, the company highlighted the need to plan for all forms of maintenance to make sure that the equipment and the devices operate fully and effectively. It also highlighted the need to coordinate in the best possible manner with all the concerned bodies and security services that take part in the Hajj and Umrah seasons and to increase the frequency of the field visits to ensure the utmost level of efficiency and reliability in the stage of providing Makkah, Madinah, and the holy sites.
