Riyadh, February 19, 2025 – His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, received Mr. Kirill Dmitriev, Chief Executive Officer of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), today at his office in Al-Yamamah Palace.


The meeting provided an opportunity for both leaders to engage in productive discussions aimed at strengthening the bilateral relationship between Saudi Arabia and the Russian Federation, with a particular emphasis on advancing investment cooperation and addressing key economic issues. The talks covered a range of topics, including the potential for expanding and diversifying mutual investments, as well as exploring new economic opportunities that could contribute to long-term growth for both countries.


In addition to discussions on investment strategies, the meeting touched upon the broader economic landscape, including future collaboration in emerging sectors such as technology, finance, and industry. This dialogue reinforces both nations’ commitment to fostering deeper economic ties and achieving shared goals of sustainable development and prosperity.


The reception was also attended by His Royal Highness Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Minister of the National Guard, and Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Minister of State, Cabinet Member, and National Security Advisor. Their participation underscored the importance of government coordination and the pivotal role these engagements play in facilitating high-level international cooperation.


The meeting is part of Saudi Arabia’s broader efforts to enhance its global partnerships as part of Vision 2030, a national blueprint aimed at diversifying the Kingdom’s economy and positioning it as a major global player in investment, technology, and innovation.


Both Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Mr. Dmitriev expressed optimism about the future of Saudi-Russian relations, with a shared commitment to advancing cooperation across various sectors and ensuring continued growth and success in their economic endeavors.
