Riyadh, January 20, 2025 – The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi General Entertainment Authority (GEA), Turki Alalshikh, officially launched the highly anticipated "City Hub" project on Sunday. This ambitious initiative is set to tour seven cities across Saudi Arabia throughout 2025, with each city hosting the event for a 14-day period. The project aims to significantly enhance the quality of life for both citizens and residents by decentralizing entertainment activities and bringing them to various regions of the Kingdom, ensuring a more inclusive and diverse cultural experience.
The "City Hub" will kick off in Jazan on January 23, 2025, marking the first stop of its nationwide tour. After Jazan, the project will continue its journey to other key cities, including Al-Khobar, Buraydah, Hail, Al-Baha, Taif, and will conclude in Tabuk in August. Each stop will be a vibrant celebration of culture, entertainment, and community spirit, designed to offer unique experiences that cater to all tastes and age groups.
Spanning over 20,000 square meters in each city, the "City Hub" will feature a wide array of entertainment zones tailored to diverse interests. From thrilling rides and family-friendly attractions to interactive experiences and cultural exhibits, the event promises something for everyone. The project also includes a diverse market offering a range of local and international products, alongside a carefully curated selection of restaurants. These dining options will feature a variety of cuisines to satisfy every palate, making it a gastronomic delight for food lovers.
Beyond entertainment and dining, the "City Hub" project is expected to create thousands of direct and indirect job opportunities, contributing to the local economy and supporting the growth of emerging industries. It is anticipated that the project will foster investments in these areas, providing a significant boost to both local businesses and global enterprises seeking to tap into Saudi Arabia's dynamic market. By diversifying entertainment offerings and promoting regional development, the "City Hub" will play a pivotal role in enhancing Saudi Arabia’s cultural and economic landscape.
The project is also closely aligned with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which seeks to diversify the Kingdom’s economy and improve the quality of life for its citizens. By bringing top-tier entertainment to cities outside of the traditional cultural hubs, the "City Hub" will help to foster greater inclusivity, social engagement, and local pride, contributing to a brighter, more dynamic future for all residents of Saudi Arabia.
As part of the General Entertainment Authority’s ongoing efforts to revolutionize the Kingdom’s entertainment sector, the "City Hub" promises to be a landmark initiative that will leave a lasting impact on the cultural and economic fabric of Saudi Arabia. With its innovative approach to entertainment, tourism, and investment, the project is set to make significant strides towards realizing the ambitious goals of Vision 2030.
