Strengthening Security Cooperation: Saudi Arabia's Minister of Interior, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud, met with Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi to enhance security collaboration, with a focus on combating drug trafficking.

Riyadh, December 17, 2024 — Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Interior for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, welcomed Pakistani Federal Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control, Mohsin Naqvi, to Riyadh on Monday for an official meeting. The meeting, which took place as part of the ongoing collaboration between the two nations, was held under the directive of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia.


Prince Abdulaziz emphasized the longstanding and deep-rooted relationship between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, highlighting the significance of the meeting in further strengthening their bilateral ties, particularly in matters of security. The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in several key areas, with a particular emphasis on combating the growing challenge of drug trafficking. Both leaders underscored the importance of working together to curb this global threat, which poses significant risks to the stability and safety of their respective nations.


In addition to countering narcotics-related issues, the two sides explored various topics of mutual concern, aligning their efforts toward fostering greater security collaboration. The meeting served as an important step in reinforcing the shared commitment between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan to ensuring regional and global security. The officials also discussed strategies to bolster information exchange, joint training, and resource-sharing between their security agencies to address evolving challenges more effectively.
