The Islamic Affairs Ministry Attends the 16th International Conference of the Daaru-Na'im Academy for Sharia Science in Nigeria

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance participated as the guest of honor at the 16th Daaru-Na'im Academy for Sharia Science International Conference in Nigeria, emphasizing its leadership in Islamic work and commitment to promoting moderate Islamic principles.

Riyadh, January 3, 2025 – In a notable display of Saudi Arabia's unwavering commitment to supporting the global Islamic community, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance has participated as the guest of honor and chair of the first session at the 16th Daaru-Na'im Academy for Sharia Science International Conference in Nigeria. The conference, which took place from January 1 to 3, has drawn together a distinguished assembly of officials, researchers, and specialists from across the world, underscoring the global importance of collaborative discussions on Islamic principles and their role in contemporary society.


The event commenced with an inspiring speech from the conference president and General Supervisor of Daaru-Na'im Academy, Imran Abdulmajeed. He took the opportunity to praise Saudi Arabia's essential role in not only supporting but also actively participating in international conferences such as this one. His words reflected the Kingdom’s leadership in the field of Islamic work, highlighting its sustained efforts to promote the moderate principles of Islam and foster unity among Muslims worldwide. In his address, Dr. Awad Al-Anazi, the Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, reinforced the Kingdom’s steadfast commitment to such international gatherings. He articulated the Ministry’s role in strengthening Islamic unity and its continuous efforts to foster cooperation and understanding among Muslim communities globally. Dr. Al-Anazi emphasized that Saudi Arabia’s participation in international conferences is not only a reflection of its commitment to Islam but also a means of advocating for peace, love, and goodwill in the global Islamic community. He reiterated the Kingdom’s determination to uphold its noble mission of spreading the true message of Islam while remaining resolutely focused on uniting Muslims and combating divisiveness.
