Attendees included space agencies and organizations from G20 member countries, representatives from invited nations, and heads of international and regional entities.

In his address, Dr. Altamimi highlighted this year’s theme, "Space Economy and Climate Change: Challenges and Opportunities," stressing the essential role the space sector plays in tackling global environmental issues and improving life on Earth. He also expressed his gratitude to the Brazilian government, particularly to Marco Antonio Chamon, CEO of the Brazilian Space Agency, for hosting the fifth edition of this important meeting.

Dr. Altamimi emphasized Saudi Arabia's dedication to advancing the global space economy. He mentioned the Kingdom's recent establishment of the "Future Space Center" in collaboration with the World Economic Forum, designed to foster international cooperation, drive innovation, and create economic opportunities within the space sector.
