The Kingdom receives the first flight of beneficiaries of the Makkah Route Initiative from Morocco.

- The Makkah Route Initiative is part of the Pilgrim Experience Programme under Saudi Vision 2030, aiming to streamline procedures for pilgrims by issuing visas, collecting biometric data, and providing transportation and luggage services.
The first aircraft of beneficiaries from the "Makkah Route Initiative" landed at Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah on May 26, 2024.

On May 26, 2024, the initial plane transporting the beneficiaries of the "Makkah Route Initiative" beneficiaries arrived at Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah.


Hailing from the Kingdom of Morocco, these beneficiaries passed through the custom-designed terminal within Mohammed V International Airport to enter the United Kingdom.



The Makkah Route Initiative is part of the Pilgrim Experience Programme under Saudi Vision 2030, aiming to streamline procedures for pilgrims by issuing visas, collecting biometric data, and providing transportation and luggage services.



The 26th of May, 2024, Madinah, At Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah, the first aircraft of beneficiaries from the "Makkah Route Initiative" landed on Saturday. The beneficiaries came from the Kingdom of Morocco. This particular flight arrived in the United Kingdom via the terminal associated with the initiative at Mohammed V International Airport. Within the framework of the Pilgrim Experience Programme, which is a component of Saudi Vision 2030, the Makkah Route Initiative is one of the initiatives that the Ministry of Interior is working on. Beginning with the electronic issuing of visas and the collection of biometric data, the initiative intends to finish the procedures for pilgrims in their home countries. After verifying the health requirements, the airport of departure will complete passport operations. Furthermore, it involves the process of labeling and categorizing luggage by the transit and lodging arrangements that are in place within the Kingdom. Buses that travel along predetermined routes take pilgrims directly to their accommodations in Makkah and Madinah upon their arrival. Meanwhile, service firms are responsible for delivering their luggage to their homes.
