On May 30, 2024, a delegation from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) met with Governor Eng. Raafat Al-Thuqli of the Socotra Archipelago.
The purpose of the gathering was to discuss ways to strengthen small producers, such as farmers, breeders, and fishermen, through collaborative research.

On May 30, 2024, in Socotra, On Monday, a group from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) met with Governor Eng. Raafat Al-Thuqli of the Socotra Archipelago. The trip was headed by the Director of the Community Support Department, Dr. Jawaher bint Abdullah Al-Muhanna. The purpose of the event was to investigate how small producers such as farmers, breeders, and fishermen may be empowered through collaborative research employing research methodology. In addition, they discussed the opportunities, difficulties, and possible solutions as well as developing a thorough framework for future interventions that will support the center's target sectors. Eng. Al-Thuqli conveyed his gratitude to KSrelief for their humanitarian efforts on behalf of the Socotra people. He also underlined the commitment of the local government to supply the infrastructure essential for the center's operations and activities in Socotra, including it.
