The Madinah Municipality is initiating a program to provide umbrellas to God's guests and those who visit the prophet's mosque.


The Madinah Municipality organized a campaign to provide umbrellas to visitors to the Prophet's Mosque in order to shield them from the sun.


More than 150 volunteers, both male and female, from the central region helped to make the initiative a success.


Pilgrim´s safety and well-being will be assured by the numerous initiatives being undertaken by the city, which involve setting up tech platforms as well as a volunteer scheme.




Madinah, 4th June 2024: To safeguard God's guests and visitors coming to the Prophet's Mosque against the potential bad sun's impact, the Madinah Municipality yesterday started a campaign to distribute umbrellas. More than 150 male and female volunteers from the central region helped achieve the project. This is part of the efficient volunteer program, which seeks to foster the entrepreneurial spirit of volunteer teams in a way that will be professional to serve God's guests in a better way. Madinah Municipality seeks to harness its services through its human and automated cadres in the scope of five affiliated municipalities, with a total of 8,267 participants equipped with more than 800 machines and equipment. In addition, the municipality is working to harness nine electronic platforms to serve pilgrims around the clock in the central region and sites of Islamic history, with the goals of ensuring the quality of food, reducing the amount of waste, combating public health pests, and many other things.
