August 11, 2024, in Cairo The strike on a school in Gaza's Al-Daraj neighborhood that housed Palestinians who had been uprooted from their homes by Israeli occupation forces has been sharply denounced by Ahmed Aboul Gheit, the secretary general of the Arab League. More than a hundred Palestinians lost their lives and many more were injured as a result of the strike.
Aboul Gheit called the killing of Palestinians by Israeli occupation troops a "cowardly act" in a statement that was released today. She underlined that the Israeli army's killing of displaced civilians at dawn prayers is a grave lack of compassion and goes beyond even its horrifying norms.
