Riyadh, December 20, 2024 – The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) board of directors convened on Thursday for its third meeting of the year, where members deliberated on several strategic initiatives and developments aimed at advancing the agency’s objectives.
The meeting was chaired by Minister of Media and SPA Chairman of the Board Salman Al-Dossary, with the attendance of board members. Central to the discussions was the endorsement of SPA’s media transformation plan, a cornerstone of the agency’s strategy to enhance its role in the global media landscape.
Key topics on the agenda included SPA’s international strategic partnerships, which play a pivotal role in amplifying the Saudi media narrative on the global stage. The board explored ways to strengthen these partnerships to effectively communicate the Kingdom’s vision, achievements, and aspirations to international audiences.
Board members were also briefed on the recently implemented decision-making support platform developed by SPA’s data department. This platform, designed in alignment with the policies and guidelines of the National Data Management Office (NDMO), is expected to enhance operational efficiency and enable data-driven decision-making across the agency.
In his remarks, Al-Dossary announced the appointment of Abdullatif Al Abdullatif as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, highlighting his contributions and expertise as a valuable asset to SPA’s leadership.
The meeting concluded with the board making decisions on various agenda items, underscoring the agency’s commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in its operations.
