The Ministry of Commerce oversees the roads leading to the holy sites as well as the more than 33,000 commercial outlets in Makkah and Madinah

- Over thirty thousand commercial businesses have been inspected, including stores selling food and consumer goods, businesses selling gold and precious metals, service centers, gas stations, car tire shops, and roaming automobiles loaded with food and consumer items.
The Ministry of Commerce in Saudi Arabia is conducting active inspections of commercial enterprises and sales outlets in Makkah and Madinah in preparation for the Hajj season.

In anticipation of the Hajj season, the Saudi Ministry of Commerce is closely inspecting businesses and retail outlets in Makkah and Madinah.


Checks are used to ensure pilgrims can access the commodities and to keep an eye on spending.


More than thirty thousand commercial establishments, including roaming trucks packed with food and shopping, auto repair shops, tire stores, and businesses dealing in gold and precious metals, have all been investigated.



On June 3, 2024, in Makkah/Madinah, Saudi Arabia. The Ministry of Commerce has declared that its field teams in Makkah and Madinah, along with the roads leading to them, are actively inspecting businesses and retail establishments as part of their preparations for the next Hajj season in 1445 AH. These checks are meant to make sure pilgrims can obtain goods and to keep an eye on costs. The teams conducted inspections of more than thirty thousand commercial establishments to guarantee that pilgrims would have access to necessities, premium goods, and suitable basic food supplies. Food and consumer goods outlets, companies that sell gold, precious metals, and gemstones, service centers, gas stations, auto tire shops, and roving cars filled with food and products are all part of the surveillance trips.
