Makkah, March 3, 2025 – The Muslim World League (MWL) has strongly condemned the Israeli occupation government’s recent decision to halt the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, calling it an unlawful and inhumane action. In a statement issued by the MWL’s General Secretariat, Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa, the Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, denounced the decision as a clear violation of international laws and humanitarian norms.

Dr. Al-Issa highlighted the severity of the Israeli government's actions, stressing that the blockade on humanitarian aid exacerbates the already dire conditions in Gaza, where civilians are facing unprecedented hardship. He emphasized that this move constitutes a blatant breach of international agreements, particularly those that govern the delivery of aid to civilians in conflict zones. According to Dr. Al-Issa, withholding aid not only violates the rights of innocent people but also undermines global efforts to alleviate human suffering during times of crisis.

In his statement, Dr. Al-Issa called on the international community to take immediate and decisive action in response to these violations. He urged global leaders and institutions, including the United Nations, to hold Israel accountable for its actions and to put pressure on the Israeli government to allow the unimpeded flow of humanitarian assistance into Gaza. Dr. Al-Issa reiterated his appeal for a firm stance against Israel’s systematic violations, which he described as part of a broader pattern of atrocities committed against the civilian population in the Gaza Strip.

The MWL’s statement underscores the organization’s ongoing commitment to defending the rights of Muslims and promoting justice for oppressed populations around the world. The MWL has consistently called for the protection of human rights and the enforcement of international law, particularly in conflict areas where vulnerable civilians are subjected to violence and deprivation. Through this condemnation, the MWL reaffirms its dedication to supporting the Palestinian people and advocating for a peaceful resolution to the ongoing crisis in Gaza.

The decision to halt humanitarian aid has drawn widespread international criticism, and Dr. Al-Issa’s remarks serve as a powerful call for global action to end the suffering of those caught in the conflict. The MWL continues to urge the international community to unite in defense of human dignity and to ensure that humanitarian aid reaches those in need without obstruction.
