Makkah, March 19, 2025 — The Muslim World League (MWL) has strongly condemned the Israeli occupation government's recent bombing of Syrian Arab Republic territory. In a statement issued by the General Secretariat, the MWL expressed its grave concern over Israel's actions, describing them as blatant violations of international laws and norms. The League called attention to the destructive impact such actions have on regional security and stability.
Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, the MWL Secretary-General and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, condemned the attack as part of a broader pattern of Israeli aggression that continues to destabilize the Middle East. He stressed that such actions not only threaten the peace and security of Syria but also undermine international efforts to foster stability and uphold international law.
Dr. Al-Issa emphasized the need for the international community to respond with immediate and decisive action to hold Israel accountable for its actions and to prevent further violations of Syria’s territorial integrity. He urged world leaders to take a firm stand in addressing these serious violations, which undermine peace and escalate tensions in an already volatile region.
In addition, the MWL expressed its full solidarity with the Syrian Arab Republic and its people in the face of these challenges. The League reaffirmed its unwavering support for Syria’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national unity, underscoring the importance of protecting the country from any external threats that seek to destabilize its security. The MWL’s statement called for continued international support to safeguard Syria's stability, security, and the well-being of its citizens in the face of ongoing aggression.
