The OIC denounces Israel’s bombing of Dar Al-Arqam School and a medical warehouse in Gaza.

- The OIC condemned Israel's attacks on civilians and called for UN action to enforce a ceasefire and hold Israel accountable for violations of international law.

Jeddah, April 5, 2025 – The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the systematic targeting of civilians, shelters for displaced persons, and educational and healthcare institutions by Israeli occupation forces. The most recent incident involved the bombing of the Dar Al-Arqam school, which housed displaced people in Gaza City, resulting in numerous martyrs and injuries.

The OIC also denounced the Israeli destruction of a medical supplies warehouse belonging to the Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage in Rafah City, calling these actions a blatant violation of international law, international humanitarian law, and relevant UN resolutions.

The Jeddah-based organization stressed the necessity for the UN Security Council to take action under Chapter VII to enforce an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza. It also urged the implementation of accountability mechanisms under international criminal law to hold Israel responsible for its aggression and genocide, which threaten both regional and international peace and security.

The OIC called on all nations to take necessary political, economic, and legal actions against Israel, linking these measures to Israel’s compliance with the International Court of Justice's orders, international humanitarian law principles, the UN Charter, and relevant UN resolutions, to force Israel to end its occupation, colonial settlements, and military aggression against the Palestinian people.
