The plaque from the Sports Investment Forum is given to the health minister.

Minister of Health Fahad Al-Jalajel received the Sports Investment Forum (SIF) plaque in recognition of the Ministry's contributions to promoting sports as a key driver for improving public health and quality of life under Saudi Vision 2030.

Riyadh, January 7, 2025 – The Minister of Health, Fahad Al-Jalajel, was presented with the Sports Investment Forum (SIF) plaque today in recognition of the Ministry’s pivotal role in supporting national efforts to position sports as a cornerstone for improving quality of life and enhancing public health. This acknowledgment highlights the growing collaboration between Saudi Arabia’s health and sports sectors, which are integral to achieving the ambitious goals of Vision 2030.


During the ceremony, Minister Al-Jalajel expressed his gratitude for the honor, underscoring the Ministry’s commitment to fostering a healthier and more active society through strategic partnerships. He stated, “Improving quality of life and promoting public health are among the core objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. Sports play a fundamental role in enhancing physical and mental well-being while helping to prevent chronic diseases that impact individuals and healthcare systems.”


The Minister highlighted the transformative changes underway in the Kingdom’s health sector, which align with the comprehensive “Health in All Policies (HiAP)” framework. This approach integrates health considerations into policymaking across various sectors to drive holistic development. He added, “The transformation in the health sector supports these efforts and reinforces the 'Health in All Policies' approach to ensure comprehensive development. We are proud to support the Sports Investment Forum as a platform that unites experts and investors to build a sustainable sports sector that encourages healthy lifestyles.”


SIF CEO Ibrahim Al-Bakri emphasized the importance of cross-sector collaboration in achieving the forum’s objectives. He noted that presenting the forum’s plaque to the Minister of Health reflects the vital role of the health sector in promoting sports as a tool for improving public health. “The forum aims to showcase investment opportunities in the sports sector as an effective means of enhancing public health and encouraging a more active and vibrant lifestyle,” Al-Bakri said.


The Sports Investment Forum, scheduled to take place from April 7 to 9 under the patronage of the Ministry of Sport and the Ministry of Investment, will bring together prominent local and international leaders. The event will serve as a platform to explore opportunities for sustainable development within the sports sector while highlighting its impact on creating healthier, more dynamic communities.
