The President of the European Council meets with the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia

On the sidelines of the peace meeting for Ukraine held in Luzern, Switzerland, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs visited Charles Michel, the President of the European Council.



The summit focused on reviewing historical relations between Saudi Arabia and the European Union, in addition to contemporary regional and international issues of common interest.




The meeting is to deepen Saudi Arabia and European Union relations in all fields by emphasizing cooperation relations.


Friday, June 16, 2024. Luzern- Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs met, on the sidelines of the Ukraine peace summit that starts today in the Swiss city of Lucerne, with Charles Michel, President of the European Council. The summit discussed the most current regional and international issues of mutual interest, as well as the historical links between Saudi Arabia and the European Union (EU). It also discussed ways to deepen such relations in a range of different areas. Both Dr. Adel Merdad, the Saudi Ambassador to Switzerland, and Abdulrahman Al-Dawood, the Director General of the Foreign Minister's Office, were present at the meeting.
