Cairo, September 27, 2023, The Arab League's Permanent Technical Committee on Statistics (PTCS) convened its 41st meeting at the AL Secretariat General headquarters in Cairo on September 26–27. This gathering saw the active participation of official statistical agencies from various Arab nations and specialized organizations in the field of statistics. The Saudi Arabian delegation, led by Dr. Fahd bin Abdullah Al-Dossari, President of the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT), played a prominent role.
The meeting's agenda encompassed a wide array of technical and administrative matters. Among these were updates on the implementation of recommendations stemming from the prior PTCS meeting. Additionally, the sessions delved into the statistical initiatives undertaken by Arab organizations tasked with statistical responsibilities in the preceding period.
