Czech, October 04, 2023, The Roads General Authority took the spotlight at the World Road Congress in the Czech Republic, where it unveiled cutting-edge technologies, scientific research endeavors, and technical directives. Within its pavilion, the authority showcased a range of contemporary technologies and research initiatives that have been put into practice.
Visitors had the opportunity to explore survey and assessment tools, as well as gain insights into the central laboratory and five sub-laboratories distributed across different regions of the Kingdom, all dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of work quality. The exhibition even featured a specialized device designed for simulating road conditions, aiding in scientific experiments.
Among the scientific research findings presented were innovations like the utilization of asphalt mixtures derived from demolished buildings and an expanded application of recycled asphalt. The authority also highlighted the eco-friendly use of recycled rubber from tires. Notably, one of its research projects involved cooling asphalt surfaces using locally sourced materials.
In addition to its research endeavors, the Roads General Authority also unveiled a series of advanced technical guidelines. These included a comprehensive guide for recycling asphalt pavement layers and another guide focused on stress-absorbing mixtures.
