AlUla, September 25, 2023, The Royal Commission for AlUla and UNESCO have formalized their partnership's second phase, building on their long-term collaboration initiated in Paris in 2021. This agreement, coordinated with various stakeholders, concentrates on two key projects: an integrated cultural program and the establishment of an archaeological protection fellowship program. These endeavors, in conjunction with UNESCO and the Kingdom's Institute, aim to bolster heritage preservation, education, capacity-building, nature conservation, and creative arts. The integrated cultural program focuses on enhancing cultural heritage and creativity's role in AlUla Governorate's sustainable development, aligned with AlUla Vision and Saudi Vision 2030. Additionally, the archaeological protection fellowship program will bring heritage experts to AlUla for research, conservation, and knowledge-sharing efforts. These initiatives reflect AlUla Vision's commitment to international partnerships and sustainable development, in harmony with Saudi Vision 2030's objectives.
