The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's embassy in the Republic of Niger held a ceremony at King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud University in Niamey to honor the winners of the Holy Quran Memorization Competition for university students. The competition aimed to motivate students to commit the Holy Quran to memory. The Saudi Educational Mission in Niger was responsible for organizing the event. There was a screening of a documentary video that discussed the remarkable efforts that the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has made to simplify the process of doing Hajj and Umrah for pilgrims. The Saudi ambassador to the Republic of Niger, Dr. Zaid bin Mukhlad Al-Harbi, stated in his speech that the competition is part of the Kingdom's efforts to serve the Holy Quran.
