Riyadh, January 24, 2025 — The Saudi National Museum in Riyadh has officially launched the highly anticipated "Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams" exhibition, a major cultural highlight of the ongoing Riyadh Season events. The exhibition, which will be open to the public until April 2, offers visitors an extraordinary opportunity to explore over 75 years of Christian Dior’s iconic creativity, innovation, and legacy in the world of fashion.

The exhibition is a tribute to Dior’s transformative influence on the fashion industry, tracing his journey from the creation of his groundbreaking collections in 1947 to the modern-day impact of the brand. It provides an in-depth look into the evolution of Dior’s designs and the profound impact of various artistic directors who have shaped the brand’s legacy over the decades. One of the key highlights of the exhibition is a series of captivating paintings by renowned Chinese artist Yan Pei Ming, whose works reflect the artistic essence of the Dior collections.

A key feature of the exhibition is the celebration of Dior’s first ready-to-wear collection, marking a pivotal moment in the brand’s history. This is complemented by a fabric hall that showcases the remarkable expertise and meticulous craftsmanship of Dior’s ateliers. Visitors can admire the intricate handiwork of skilled artisans whose creations have elevated the art of fashion design to new heights. The "Colorama" hall stands out as another remarkable attraction, designed as a vibrant cabinet of rare and exquisite pieces, where colors and textures come together to tell the story of Dior’s creative excellence.

In addition to the fashion displays, the exhibition also shines a spotlight on the stunning AlUla Oasis, a heritage treasure located in the Madinah region. The exhibition features a unique collection of dresses inspired by the natural beauty of the desert landscape, with fabrics and designs evoking the warm hues of the sun and the spirit of the desert. This special tribute to AlUla offers visitors a glimpse into how Dior’s designs capture the essence of cultural heritage and the vibrant colors of the natural world.

Through this exhibition, the Saudi National Museum has not only created a platform to honor the legacy of Christian Dior but also aligned with the Kingdom’s broader cultural and tourism goals, showcasing the intersection of fashion, art, and history. The "Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams" exhibition is an essential stop for art and fashion enthusiasts, offering a unique experience that blends creativity, heritage, and innovation in one of the Kingdom’s most prestigious cultural venues.
