Riyadh, September 25, 2023, The Saudi-British Parliamentary Friendship Committee (SBPFC), led by Dr. Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Salama, a member of the Shura Council and Deputy Chairman of SBPFC, convened a meeting today with a delegation of British parliamentarians from the British Group of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (BGIPU), headed by MP Mark Andrew Menzies. This meeting took place at the Shura Council's headquarters in Riyadh and was attended by SBPFC members.
During this session, the discussion centered on various topics of mutual interest, with a particular focus on strengthening parliamentary relations between the Shura Council and the United Kingdom (UK) Parliament. The participants underscored the significance of bolstering the role of parliamentary friendship committees in both nations to advance shared interests.
