The Secretary-General of the Jordanian Ministry of Government Communication met with the President of the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) to examine ways to improve media collaboration during the Hajj seasons.
From June 10 to June 16, the Pilgrim Experience Program and the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah began an effort in Makkah to upgrade media infrastructure and disseminate the true message of Islam.
Subjects of discussion included the role of Arab and international media in promoting Islam, as well as the Saudi Arabian media infrastructure and the welcoming environment it offered for journalists.
On June 13th, 2024, in Mecca, Dr. Fahd bin Hassan Al Aqran, President of the Saudi Press Agency, met with Dr. Zaid Al-Nawaiseh, Secretary-General at the Jordanian Ministry for Government Communication. The two discussed improving the way media reach out to the masses especially during Hajj periods which align themselves with Hajj Media Object (HMO) activities. During the same period (June 10-16), MHP collaborated with the Pilgrim Experience Team (PET) within the Ministry of Hajj & Umrah (MoHU) on its launch within the city of Mecca.
This period marked the launch of the project. On the sidelines of the event, a conversation took place, and all of the participants emphasized the significance of Arab and global media in the dissemination of the authentic message of Islam. In addition to this, they discussed the media facilities throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as the friendly climate for journalists.Dr. Al-Nawaiseh extended his appreciation to the Saudi government for the services that were offered to pilgrims and media workers from all over the world.
