Cairo, February 23, 2025 -- In a strong condemnation of recent Israeli statements suggesting the potential establishment of a Palestinian state within Saudi Arabia, Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Mohammed Ahmed Al Yamahi, issued a statement today warning that such remarks not only fuel regional conflicts but also pose a serious threat to the security, stability, and peace of the broader international community. Al Yamahi emphasized that these statements were a direct violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and stability, which are fundamental pillars of Arab national security, as well as a blatant infringement on international law and established legitimacy resolutions.

The Speaker stressed that any attempts to challenge Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty were unacceptable, reaffirming the Arab Parliament's unwavering commitment to defending the Kingdom’s national integrity. He further reiterated the Arab Parliament's resolute stance in support of the Palestinian people’s inalienable right to establish an independent state within the full boundaries of their historical land, including the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and East Jerusalem, in accordance with the United Nations resolutions and the 1967 borders.

Al Yamahi’s statement also expressed the Arab Parliament's full and unflinching solidarity with Saudi Arabia in its efforts to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and national stability, underscoring that the Kingdom’s position is central to the Arab world’s collective well-being. His remarks served as a reaffirmation of the Arab bloc’s united front in defending the core values of regional unity, peace, and respect for international norms.
