The stc group's preparations for serving pilgrims during Hajj season 1445 AH are reviewed by the minister of communications

- The STC showcased new digital services and solutions to help pilgrims stay connected with their families.

Dr. Mohammed Al-Tamimi and Mr. Eng. Abdullah Alswaha were in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, inspecting the Business and Technical Support Center for Hajj.



They received an update on the preparations meant to manage the surge in phone and data traffic that occurs during the Hajj season.



STC briefed ministers about preparations to boost incoming calls and data during the Hajj season and highlighted plans for deploying new infrastructure to better support both services.



Makkah, June 10, 2024: The Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Eng. Abdullah Alswaha, along with the Governor of the Communications and Information Technology Commission, Dr. Mohammed Al-Tamimi, and other officials from the STCC, visited the Hajj Business and Technical Support Center in Makkah, KSA. The group gave a briefing about preparations to increase incoming calls and data during the Hajj season, including the new infrastructure to enhance services. Moreover, the STC briefed Alswaha regarding the plans for deploying new infrastructure to better support services, encourage local and international visitors, and always remain one step ahead of the rapidly growing demand. In addition, the STC briefed the Minister on a momentous initiative the company is undertaking by upgrading the 4G and 5G networks and deploying advanced infrastructure to enhance service quality. Moreover, STC provided a preview of new digital services and solutions to enable pilgrims to communicate with families.
