RIYADH March 28, 2025 — The Saudi Ministry of Tourism has begun taking action against 150 tourism offices across the Kingdom after discovering violations. These tour operators and travel agencies were found offering unlicensed services and activities during inspections conducted by ministry officials. Penalties will be applied to violators in line with the Tourism Law and its regulations.

Officials carried out nearly 300 inspection tours in Riyadh, Madinah, Al-Baha, Jazan, and Al-Ahsa, with the participation of various government agencies, including the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Transport and Logistics, Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, and the Transport General Authority.

The ministry stressed the need for tourism offices to obtain the required licenses from the Ministry of Tourism, as per the Tourism Law, to ensure high-quality services for tourists and align with the Kingdom's tourism sector growth.
