It was announced by the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque that the translation project of the Eid al-Adha sermon in twenty different international languages was performed successfully on June 17, 2024 in Mecca. The project was able to reach approximately twenty million people, including six million listeners, which is a new record for the presidency.
The Deputy President of the Grand Mosque's Presidency of Religious Affairs, who also serves as the Supervisor of the Sermon Translation Project, has stated that the translation project has facilitated communication with twenty million individuals through its technological platforms. The project has significantly enhanced the Hajj experience of pilgrims.
Additionally, he added that simultaneous sermon translation is a pioneering global endeavor and a major pillar of the presidency's global outreach. This attempt aims to promote the Two Mosques' message of moderation and the moral and humanitarian spirit reflected in the sermons.
