Third ‘Makkah Greets Us’ event begins to mark Eid Al-Fitr celebrations

MAKKAH, March 31, 2025: A variety of activities await residents and visitors in Makkah’s Hira cultural district in celebration of the Eid holidays.
An initiative by the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites, the event “Makkah Greets Us” will take place from the second day of Eid Al-Fitr to the seventh of Shawwal (March 31 to April 5, 2025).
“This event offers a wide range of recreational, cultural, and heritage activities for all age groups,” the commission stated.
According to a report by the Saudi Press Agency, the event aims “to strengthen community bonds, emphasize Makkah's historical and cultural significance, and provide a unique entertainment space for families and children.”
“Makkah Greets Us” will feature cultural and entertainment activities, with a focus on Islamic culture and historical landmarks, presented in 26 languages. Traditional folklore performances will also be part of the event.
The event, which is free and open to the public, allows everyone to join in the festive Eid celebrations.
