On March 26, 2025, TikTok announced the launch of Saudi Arabia’s first-ever dedicated STEM feed, offering high-quality, verified content in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). This initiative aims to support TikTok’s mission to foster a community where learning thrives, aligning with campaigns like #LearnOnTikTok and #BookTok that have gained global engagement. With almost 10 million STEM videos shared globally in the last three years, TikTok has become a popular platform for knowledge-sharing, with 48% of Saudi users recognizing it as a tool for learning and skill development.
Saudi Arabia is the first country in the MENA region to introduce this feature, which showcases the best Arabic content in STEM fields, aiming to inspire the next generation of thinkers, innovators, and problem-solvers. The STEM feed features a wide range of creators, educators, and enthusiasts, offering both educational and engaging content. TikTok ensures the content is verified, appealing, and aligned with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals, which include advancing digital transformation and creating a knowledge-based economy.
The platform collaborates with local partners like Majarra to provide scientifically accurate content and plans to expand partnerships with leading educational platforms in the future. TikTok reviews all content to maintain accuracy and appropriateness in collaboration with organizations like Common Sense Networks and Poynter. By blending entertainment and education, TikTok's STEM feed aims to spark curiosity, promote innovation, and support educational growth in Saudi Arabia.
